AfriCraft NGO, officially registered as African Handcraft Organization under No. 00NGO/1307, is a non-profit dedicated to uplifting underprivileged communities across Tanzania. Through meaningful social projects such as the Coco Beach Waste Management Centre supporting beach entrepreneurs, providing reusable sanitary pads to school girls, and supplying bicycles to students who walk long distances to access education, AfriCraft is creating practical solutions that empower lives and build a brighter future.

Our Projects

AfriBike Project

AfriBike aims to support and empower students in rural areas by providing them with reliable bicycles, helping to eliminate the long and often unsafe journeys to school. By improving access to education through safe and affordable transportation, AfriBike contributes to better school attendance, academic performance, and overall student well-being.

Binti Project

Many girls from low-income families in Tanzania still struggle with limited access to proper menstrual hygiene products, which often leads to missed school days and low self-esteem. The Binti Project addresses this challenge by providing schoolgirls with reusable sanitary pad kits, along with education on menstrual health and hygiene. This empowers young girls to manage their periods with dignity, stay in school, and reach their full potential.

Coco Beach Project

The Coco Beach Waste Management Centre aims to empower vulnerable youth in coastal communities by equipping them with practical skills in recycling and waste management. Through hands-on training and mentorship, the project helps young people turn waste into valuable resources, enabling them to earn a sustainable income while contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment.

Dr. Clown Project

This heartwarming project aims to bring joy and comfort to hospitalized children by putting a smile on their faces during difficult times. We support the local volunteer group known as ‘Dr. Clown,’ whose dedicated members visit pediatric wards dressed as friendly clowns to entertain and uplift young patients. In addition, we provide hospitals with toys and playful materials to create a more cheerful and healing environment for children.

Green School

The Green School project is designed to educate children in Tanzania about critical environmental issues such as deforestation, pollution, and the growing problem of waste. Through interactive lessons, tree planting activities, and clean-up campaigns, the project encourages students to become environmentally conscious citizens. By instilling sustainable values at a young age, Green School aims to inspire the next generation to take active roles in protecting and preserving their environment.

Tiny Houses Project

Plastic bottle pollution poses a serious threat to the environment, especially in urban and coastal areas. The Tiny Houses project tackles this issue by training young people to construct small, functional structures using recycled plastic bottles. These eco-friendly houses serve as creative spaces or community hubs, showcasing innovative ways to repurpose waste while providing hands-on construction and sustainability skills to the youth.

Kigoma Project

Kigoma is one of the poorest and most marginalized regions in Tanzania, where youth unemployment remains a serious challenge. Through the Kigoma Project, we provide practical training in waste collection, recycling, and environmental conservation to empower young people with valuable skills. By turning waste into opportunity, the project helps create sustainable income sources, promotes cleaner communities, and encourages youth to take an active role in improving their environment and future.
