Waste Pickers

Empowering Waste Pickers for a Cleaner, Greener Tanzania
At AfriCraft, we recognize the challenges faced by waste pickers in Tanzania. These workers often operate in poor conditions and lack the equipment and resources needed to manage waste safely and effectively.
Our waste pickers project aims to improve the health, economic conditions, and working conditions of waste pickers in Dar es Salaam.
Through capacity building and entrepreneurial skills training, we aim to empower waste pickers to become self-reliant and healthier.
With a pilot program supporting 30 waste pickers by 2024, we are committed to creating a sustainable future and a circular economy in Tanzania.
