African Handcraft Organization (AfriCraft NGO) with the Registration number No. 00NGO/1307 is a non-profit organization aiming at improving the livelihood of the less privileged people in Tanzania through different social projects such as:

  • Coco beach waste management centre for beach entrepreneurs
  • Re-usable sanitary pads for school girls
  • Provision of bicycles to school students who walk for long distances to access education

Communities

We offer public social programs, activities and services that promote and provide for the general health, safety and welfare of the community and provide a sense of security and well-being.

Education

Our social projects focus on achievement (raising the bar, closing the gap, and nurturing communities’ achievement and well-being) to support development and improvement efforts in the context of the values held by the community served.

Environmental Care

AfriCraft NGO focuses on combining ecological sustainability with meeting the livelihood needs of poorer groups from dependency to self-development.

Our Projects

AfriBike

AfriBike aims to support and empower students of rural areas by providing them with bicycles to ensure a safe and accessible route to school.

Binti Project

Many girls from low-income families in Tanzania still face poor menstrual hygiene. Binti project provides school girls with re-usable sanitary pad kits.

Coco Beach Project

The goal of Coco beach waste management centre is to empower vulnerable youth by training them to generate an income through recycling. 

Dr. Clown

The project’s goal is to put a smile on hospitalized children. We support the local volunteer group called ‘Dr. Clown’ and provide the hospitals with various toys.

Green School

The Green School project aims to teach the children of Tanzania more about the problems of deforestation and the increasing amount of waste.

Kigoma Project

Kigoma is one of the poorest regions in Tanzania with a high rate of unemployment among the youth. We train them in waste collection and recycling.

TINY HOUSES

Plastic bottle pollution is a big problem. We are training young people to build spaces for creativity (houses) made out of used plastic bottles
